Africa's second-highest peak (Pt. Lenana 4,985m)
Trek up the quiet Sirimon route and down the dramatic Chogoria route — widely considered Mount Kenya's most scenic crossing. Summit Point Lenana for sunrise over the twin technical peaks of Batian and Nelion.

Day by day
- Day 1
Nairobi → Nanyuki → Sirimon Gate → Old Moses Camp
Drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki (~3.5 hrs). Register at Sirimon Gate (2,650m) and trek through montane forest to Old Moses Camp (3,300m). ~3 hours.
- Day 2
Old Moses → Shipton's Camp
Long, scenic trek across the Mackinder Valley through the unique afro-alpine moorland to Shipton's Camp (4,200m). ~7 hours.
- Day 3
Acclimatisation Day at Shipton's
Short acclimatisation hike toward Point Lenana base. Rest, hydrate and prepare gear for the midnight summit push.
- Day 4
Summit Point Lenana (4,985m) → Mintos Hut
Pre-dawn start (~3 AM) to summit Point Lenana for sunrise over Batian and Nelion. Descend the Chogoria route to Mintos Hut (4,200m). ~9 hours.
- Day 5
Mintos → Lake Ellis → Chogoria Gate → Nairobi
Trek past the dramatic Gorges Valley and Lake Ellis to Chogoria Gate (2,950m). Vehicle transfer back to Nairobi. ~6 hrs trek + 5 hrs drive.
- Day 6
Departure
Rest day in Nairobi or transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International for onward flight.
